Argemone polyanthemos, commonly called Prickly Poppy, is an white flowering annual from the Poppy family. Argemone polyanthemos has similar alkaloids as Argemone mexicana. The leaves and stems of the plant have been traditionally used as a painkiller and a sedative. An oil produced from the seeds of this species also have been used as a demulcent and purgative. This extract is made with only the stems and leaves of the Argemone polyanthemos plant. The extract is a 15:1 extract, meaning that 15 grams of plant material is used to produce 1 gram of extract.
