Mortgage Lifter is a popular heirloom tomato. This cultivar was originally developed by M.C. Byles of Logan, West Virginia. Byles crossed varieties for 6 years and kept only the best producers. He was able to sell these plants in order to pay off his mortgage. This is how he came up with the name Mortgage Lifter for this cultivar. Mortgage Lifter produces large pink fruit that can reach a weight up to 1 pound. Mortgage Lifter tomatoes are indeterminate and require 75 to 95 days to mature. These seeds are Non-GMO seeds.
