Kalanchoe tubiflora is a flowering succulent that is native to Madagascar.  Synonyms for Kalanchoe tubiflora include Bryophyllum delagoense, Bryophyllum tubiflorum, Kalanchoe verticillata, Bryophyllum verticillatum, and Kalanchoe delagoensis. Kalanchoe tubiflora goes by the common names Mother of Millions, Chandelier Plant, and Devil’s Backbone.  Kalanchoe tubiflora is a great choice for beginners.  This species prefers bright light, but can handle partial shade.  Mother of Millions is drought tolerant and prefers a well draining soil.  Mature plants will produce a large quantity of tiny plantlets at the end of its leaves.  These plantlets will fall off with the slightest disturbance and will root where they land.  This allows Kalanchoe tubiflora to self propagate at high levels.
