Trichocereus brigesii is a fast growing columnar cactus from Bolivia. It commonly goes by the name Bolivian Torch. Mature plants can reach heights up to 15 feet tall. This species is also a relative to Trichocereus pachanoi (San Pedro), Trichocereus peruvianus, and Trichocereus macrogonus. Trichocereus bridgesii has a long history of ceremonial use by the indigenous people of Bolivia. The Bolivian Torch species is believed to contain one of the highest alkaloid concentrations of all the Trichocereus species.
