Description
Artemisia vulgaris is a herbaceous perennial that can grow to heights of 6 feet tall. Artemisia vulgaris commonly grows in temperate Europe, Asia, Northern Africa, and North America. This plant prefers nitrogen rich soil. This species is commonly called Mugwort, Common Wormwood, or Wild Wormwood. Several species of butterflies feed on the leaves and flowers of Mugwort and therefore is a great plant to add to your landscape to attract butterflies. Mugwort has also been used medicinally and has been used as a culinary herb.
