Lactuca virosa is a leafy biennial that can grow to up to 7 feet tall. It is commonly called Wild Lettuce. Lactuca virosa has a long history of being used medicinally as a sedative and hypnotic. Lactuca virosa can also provide some mild pain relief. The primary active compounds in Wild Lettuce are lactucopicrin and lactucin. This extract is a 10:1 powder extract meaning that 10 grams of plant material was used to create 1 gram of powder extract.
