Tecoma stans (Esperanza) Seeds

Description

Tecoma stans is a species of flower perennial shrub from the trumpet vine family.  This species is native to both North America and South America.  Tecoma stans goes by the common names Esperanza, Yellow Trumpetbush, Yellow Bells, Yellow Elder, and Ginger-Thomas.  Tecoma Stans is the official flower of the United States Virgin Islands and the flower emblem of the Bahamas.

Tecoma stans is typically cultivated as an ornamental because of its large, showy, bright golden yellow trumpet-shaped flowers.  The flowers attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.  Tecoma stans is drought tolerant and is desirable fodder for livestock.
